Fragrant Feast

On September 7th,CPRO partnered with the emerging fragrance brand AKRO to hold a brand launch event in Shanghai. The co-founder and master perfumer of the brand, Olivier Cresp, made a personal appearance and shared the “indulgence” of AKRO’s scents with professional fragrance enthusiasts and valued partners.

AKRO, a French family fragrance brand born in London, was co-founded by master perfumer Olivier Cresp and his daughter Anaïs Cresp. The brand’s name is derived from the French word “accro,” which means “addiction” or “craving.”

Whether hidden or openly acknowledged, everyone harbors an unshakeable “craving” deep within their hearts. AKRO draws inspiration from the “cravings” found in the streets and everyday life of Britain. All fragrances in the lineup are personally crafted by Olivier Cresp, creating audacious and fearless scents dedicated to those who dare to indulge

The culinary fragrance pioneer, Master Perfumer Olivier Cresp, has created nearly 400 perfumes on this planet. He was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2018 FIFI Perfume Oscars, known for his avant-garde and distinctive fragrance style. In 1992, he shook the world with Thierry Mugler’s Angel perfume, pioneering gourmand fragrances and earning him the title of “culinary fragrance pioneer.” Additionally, he has crafted countless iconic fragrances, including YSL Black Opium and Opium Pour Homme, Dior Hypnotic Poison, and Kenzo Amour and L’Eau Par Kenzo,each of them being widely recognized classics.

AKRO, the independent niche brand, was co-founded by Olivier Cresp and his daughter, showcasing a more rock ‘n’ roll side of the master perfumer. During the launch event, he shared with guest friends seven fragrances that are making their debut in China. These fragrances include AWAKE , HAZE , SMOKE , DARK , NIGHT , INK , and MALT. Each fragrance resonates with a particular “craving” deep within people, such as the morning coffee, evening tobacco, or the smoke rising from whisky poured over ice. They are expected to offer Chinese consumers a unique and daring olfactory experience.
